Every month I plan to come here and talk about how my goals for 2020 are going. This year I am laser-focused on improving my health and my finances. I believe we need to audit our lives when we are serious about reaching new goals. We need to make sure we are not slipping into old habits. So, here is how I did for the month of January. Also, my thoughts on how our daily habits can create mind-blowing change and a freebie to help you audit your month.
If we don’t audit our goals, we can easily wake up in a few months and realize we have not accomplished any of the things we set out to do. I plan to do small things monthly in the hopes to make a major impact in my life over the next couple of months
Well, welcome back to Love, Jenell. I took a long break from blogging. At the end of 2018, I went from being a SAHM to a working mom. I also had invasive eye surgery. So, when the New Year rolled around I was still trying to find my balance and heal. BUT this year I am determined for it to be different. Next year I want to be more intentional with my actions. I’ve already started working on my 2020 goals. My 2017 Free Vision Board Printable, is by far my most popular post. So, I thought I would update it and reflect a tad bit on my 2019.
Hey! I wanted to share with you all something that happened to me last week. It touched my soul. It reminded me how quickly God can change a situation and how He always has our back. I hope my story serves as a reminder of how quickly God can change a situation.
January is almost over! That was pretty quick. Well, for me it was. And a lot of In order to hold myself accountable and actually remember what happened each month, I plan to review my lessons and wins for the month and plan out my major goals for the following month. In the past few months Love, Jenell’s audience has grown. YAY! I’ve seen everyone on Instagram sharing 5 random facts about themselves, so I thought it would be cool to share some random facts about myself on Love, Jenell. I figure this would be a good way for both new and old readers to learn a bit more about me. This list is full of things you wouldn’t know from my about me section or by scrolling through my Insta. I hope no one thinks I’m a little cray because of this list, lol.
Happy New Year! I pray 2018 is starting off wonderful for everyone. I know that if you are reading this you are an ambitious goal setter, which means that you are more than likely working on how to make 2018 amazing. There are tons of things we can do to make sure that we are successful in the new year, but I believe the one thing that is essential to our success is self-reflection. How can we grow into the person we want to be if we never reflect on who we currently are? So, for me the key to growth and self-improvement is self-reflection.
Fresh start. Clean slate. New Beginnings.
In the New Year, lots of people are looking to leave the old behind and start anew. Rather it is a spiritual, health or mental cleanse, I think it’s a great to complete a cleanse in order to go into the New Year lighter and focused. For me, a cleanse shows me how strong I truly am. I completed THIS juice fast once and felt like a boss after those 3 days were over. I was ready to take over the world. And isn’t that how you want to feel at the top of the year….like a boss.
In October, I decided to get a jump start on my 2018 goals. I wanted to balance motherhood, being a wife, my blog and my Etsy shop a lot better. I didn’t want for life to happen (You know, Doctor’s appointments, sick kids, meetings, laundry) and I not get any work done. I knew that I had time in my schedule I just had to figure out how to best utilize it. I implemented 3 things into my routine in October to help make sure I am making the most of my time and working towards my business and blogging goals. Although I talk about balancing motherhood and business, these tips would work fine with anyone trying to find time to work on their goals.
For many of us, self-care seems selfish. How dare we take a time out of our day for ourselves. This is especially hard if we have spent the majority of our lives caring for others. We often think that things just won’t get done if we take a break. But sometimes we need to take a break to make sure things are doing to the best of our abilities. It’s very easy to neglect ourselves, but I think it’s important that we take time daily to make sure that we are loving to ourselves…even if it’s just a few minutes.
I cannot believe that the year is about to be over! Where did 2016 go?
As it begins to get a bit colder in Philly, my motivation has dwindled. Sitting on the couch and watching Queen Sugar often wins over doing any type of work. Sad, right? But recently I’ve been getting back in the groove and trying not to wait until 2017 to be motivated again.
