FOURTH QUARTER WINS

I can’t believe it’s October already. Where did the time go? With only a quarter of the year left, I’ve been thinking about how I can best prepare for next year and the things that can be accomplished in the 4th quarter of this year.

Magic can happen in the 4th quarter. Ask any basketball player. You could lose 3 quarters and have a hot 4th quarter and win the entire game. The fourth quarter can be just as magical for us. These last 3 months can give us a running start for 2017. We can close out projects or relationships that have no business in 2017. We can start planning for the things we want to come to pass it the new year.

I’ve already started planning for the fourth quarter. I want to rock the fourth quarter so I can have a running start in 2017. Here is what I’m doing these next couple months. Hopefully, this list will inspire you to end 2016 with a bang!

Reassessing: There are some goals I rocked this year, but because I started 3 new projects some things were forgotten. These next few weeks I plan on examining my goals and think about what I need to do in order to get the ball rolling. I also need to consider what things need to be done or started now and what things can wait until later.

I wrote a post about mid-year goals that may be helpful if you need to reassess your goals.  You can read it HERE and get free goal setting worksheets. If we start planning and taking action steps for our 2017 goals now, we’ll be ahead of the game a bit closer to our goals.

Making Space: I’m getting rid of clutter. I have sooooo many clothes that I haven’t worn in my closets and drawers. I’m taking the next few weekends to get rid of things that I know I won’t wear or miss. This can be applied to other aspects of our lives. Cluttered desk and thousands of emails can be taking up a lot of space and overwhelming us. Take time to reevaluate your space and think about what brings you joy and serves a purpose in your life. If it does nothing for you, think about letting it go.

Focus on the Good: The holidays can be a tough time. This is a time of year that can cause people to get down about the direction their life is going. I want to make sure that I’m appreciating today and small victories. While I didn’t check off everything on this year’s to-do list, some great things did happen. I don’t want to get caught up in what was not accomplished and celebrate the things that have gone well. I want to enter 2017 with a victorious mindset.

Now that you see what I’m doing, take some time to devise a plan for your 4th quarter. Here’s a little Ray Allen 4th quarter, game 6, game-tying, 3 point magic to get you pumped.

Remember! You got this, and God’s got you.
