I thought I would share a few apps I use to keep me on track. I’m not an app junky, but I do love a good app that helps me reach my goals and get things done. You may notice that my list doesn’t involve any to do list or task apps. I’ve tried everything from Evernote to Trello, but I didn’t stick with any of them too long. If you all have suggestions, please let me know. Until I find the right one, I’ll be a pen and paper type girl.
Enough of the rambling. Here are 5 productivity apps that I use and love. All the apps listed can be founded on iTunes and, hopefully, the Google Play store.
Your vision is your vision alone! When we begin to talk to about our visions, we open them up to scrutiny. Just imagine you get a great ideal and share it with a friend or a family member and instead of being met with enthusiasm you are met with discouragement. That can be crushing. And just like that, you find yourself second guessing if you should pursue this dream because what they are saying makes sense. We are especially vulnerable in the beginning when we aren’t even sure what we should be doing.
January is almost over! That was pretty quick. Well, for me it was. And a lot of In order to hold myself accountable and actually remember what happened each month, I plan to review my lessons and wins for the month and plan out my major goals for the following month. Let me know if you all enjoy posts like this.
In the past few months Love, Jenell’s audience has grown. YAY! I’ve seen everyone on Instagram sharing 5 random facts about themselves, so I thought it would be cool to share some random facts about myself on Love, Jenell. I figure this would be a good way for both new and old readers to learn a bit more about me. This list is full of things you wouldn’t know from my about me section or by scrolling through my Insta. I hope no one thinks I’m a little cray because of this list, lol.
I’ve been thinking a lot about the New Year and how often this can be a discouraging time, especially if you have big goals. It’s easy to feel like you aren’t doing enough. Sometimes it is difficult to see how your day to day actions impact your larger goals. We know we should be doing these small things. Sending the emails. Doing the research. Creating the content. But when results aren’t immediately seen, some people like to turn around or throw in the towel. I just want us to keep going. To not expect every day to be filled with big breaks, and for us to honor the small things that help us achieve our big goals.
I think one of the hardest things to do when working for home, rather it is full time, a side hustle or a passion project, is finding out where to exactly work. If your area is like mine, local coffee shops and Starbucks are always crowded and attempting to find a space to work is next to impossible. So here is a list of places where you can work remotely and get things done, nearly all are free.
This time of year we all need positive voices cheering us on and letting us know that we got this! I am a HUGE fan of listening to personal development and Christian podcasts that encourage listeners to make positive changes in their life. So, I put together a list of amazing motivational podcasts episodes that will provide you with encouragement and knowledge to make sure you win in 2018. What we listen to is soooo important. Make sure what you are listening to is feeding your dreams and starving your fears and doubts. And as a bonus, I included 2 youtube videos that I watched this year that I enjoyed.
All the podcasts can be found on Apple, Stitcher and Google Play. But you can also click on the pink link to listen to the exact episode.
Happy New Year! I pray 2018 is starting off wonderful for everyone. I know that if you are reading this you are an ambitious goal setter, which means that you are more than likely working on how to make 2018 amazing. There are tons of things we can do to make sure that we are successful in the new year, but I believe the one thing that is essential to our success is self-reflection. How can we grow into the person we want to be if we never reflect on who we currently are? So, for me the key to growth and self-improvement is self-reflection.
In the New Year, lots of people are looking to leave the old behind and start anew. Rather it is a spiritual, health or mental cleanse, I think it’s a great to complete a cleanse in order to go into the New Year lighter and focused. For me, a cleanse shows me how strong I truly am. I completedTHISjuice fast once and felt like a boss after those 3 days were over. I was ready to take over the world. And isn’t that how you want to feel at the top of the year….like a boss.
In October, I decided to get a jump start on my 2018 goals. I wanted to balance motherhood, being a wife, my blog and my Etsy shop a lot better. I didn’t want for life to happen (You know, Doctor’s appointments, sick kids, meetings, laundry) and I not get any work done. I knew that I had time in my schedule I just had to figure out how to best utilize it. I implemented 3 things into my routine in October to help make sure I am making the most of my time and working towards my business and blogging goals. Although I talk about balancing motherhood and business, these tips would work fine with anyone trying to find time to work on their goals.
